Was on Jergal, and a mummy used some item to summon a shambling dead, whereupon said spawn nearly killed the entire party due to it having 29 AB.

FYI.

Cue the Imperial, Er, UNDEAD March!

*some skeletons start playing Imperial March on TrumBONES*

And dude, my answer: Bring some Armor-Peircing weaponry, like, say, a chaingun with AP rounds.

Aren't they slow as sin though?

ExileStrife

Only nearly killed?  It doesn't seem like there's any reason to fix this.

Letsplayforfun

lol.

Damn, if quests have creatures that can nearly kill the pcs, i'm quiting!

Requiem

Quests should be challenging, but throwing such a monster on a quest with a max level of 7 may be too much.

The Beggar

I think this is a perfect opportunity to realize that:

Atleast it doesn't have an AB of 30.

Shambling dead can actually run, can't they?

lovethesuit

They shamble. Come on, that's a given. They can shamble quickly though.

Nihm

This happened again, these shambling undead have the highest AB in the server, is this a bug or a feature?

It's probably not intended, but I'm sure a shambling undead with this epic AB still has low AC/HP and one attack per turn, plus no epic damage. Which does not make it a pc killer.

Drakill Tannan

Maybe it was a mini-boss?

Velve

I didn't know minibosses could come from summoning, but its pretty possible.
