Abberents and undead in spider theme

Not necessarily a bug, per se, but something a little off.

My druid PC chose the spider theme for her summoning theme but apparently summon creature 2 brings out an ettercap (abberent) and summon creature 4 or 5 brings out a wraith spider (undead).

Obviously, these two factors contradict the whole druid thing so I think the spider summoning theme should be revised.

While a good point is made that ettercap and wraith spiders do not conflict with drow summoners (unless they happen to be drow summoners that are druids)...

I present the counterpoint that replacing ettercap and wraith spider with something that does not offend the sensibilities of druids but stays both within the realm of 'spiders' and of comparable power and ability does not hamper drow summoners.

Leaving as is: Drow summoners OK, druid summoners lost 2 spells.

Changing to fit Druid Summoners: Drow summoners STILL OK, druid summoners now OK.

I liked the ettercap as a druid, since it shoots webs like SPIDER MAN and saves you a spellslot with it.

Fair point.

I guess I ought to reword my suggestion, perhaps. I just think that phrases like "spider theme" or "insect theme" or "animal theme" (which I think is the default) makes it seem like the those summoning themes are druid friendly when they're apparently not.

Could the summoning theme selector in the starting area be revised to give a better description of the summoning themes?

Thanks for changing this.

However, I just had a brief conversation with a DM who said that brood keeper spiders are "more than normal. Perhaps not quite abberations but definitely not something that's come through regular growth."

I'd just like to bring this up in case, taking into consideration the details of the brood keepers that the DMs are privy to, whether or not the summon creature 3 for the spider theme should also be changed (it currently summons an acid spitting lesser brood keeper).
