Let there be a script a player can access from the craft menu that cancels the rent on their room so that their room becomes available again when they go off on long vacations or die.

Sort of annoying to wait for an entire week or more for a room to become free after all.

Underbard

Sounds good except for the fact that dead PC's have a hard time canceling anything.

Lenthis

Well once everyone knows the persons dead.. You would think that the owner of said establishment wouldnt keep thier room occupied.

The Crimson Magician

not everybody knows they're dead. personally i never tell mr. kingsman when somebody dies

Portal Rat

Good idea, but difficult to implement in a way that isn't prone to abuse.

TheMacPanther

I dont think it can be abused, and if so I dont really know how. Perhaps a simple /c or a button in the fugue that will erase all your rented rooms.

Bearic

/c disown room sounds like a great idea.

The Old Hack

*scratches head* I suppose it could count as 'abuse' to cancel ownership of a room and then immediately rent it with another character. I do know I have been keeping track of the expiration of Ulfrin's rent because I like to have a room and want one for my new main. Even so, maybe give the option to anyone with the waitress or employee position in a tavern? That way there would be limited access and not so large a chance of actual abuse.

Thomas_Not_very_wise

I'd abuse that option above so hard it'd make your pants drop Old Hack. :)

9lives

I don't think that's possible within the bounds of the current system, unfortunately.

Portal Rat

If you let people cancel their rooms while dead, then there's probably going to be some exploit that another player can use to cancel the room, too. That's all I was referring to. Forget I ever said it.

Howlando

We have an entirely new system that works really well to replace the old system, it just hasn't been implemented yet.

Blame lazy dms.

Portal Rat

Um, DMs are anything but lazy.

Personally I blame the economy.
