*Inscribed in the book donated to the Colonial Library are a multitude of chants, made by Paladin of the light, Anotropos Legenis*
--------------------------------------------------------
Chant of Battle

We many blades of glory and light,
never fear while we fight.
His glory shines with his holy light binds us.
As we march towards his foes.

God of Power, God of Might
God of majestic divine light
Lead me to your every fight.
Never shall we ever lose sight.

His divine power lead and glows.
Like a burning torch to our foes.
May we never fall to fear.
While he watches us here.

-----------------------------------------------------------
Chant of the Morning Lord

In the lowly nights
We are holding
Till we see- frist- light-
Your are holy beyond compare
May your glory shine down here
Making the dawn
We watch in song
Never let us fall
To the darkness maw

-------------------------------------------------------------
Palidens call for divine guidance.

Oh lathlander,

May you brighten my soul and mind, with your ever glowing light.

May you let me be a beacon to the weak and less fortunate,

May I guide against the allies of darkness and thier sinfull nature,

May I hold true to your words and wills in body and spirit,

Let the light in me never dim and only brighten it in your grace.

------------------------------------------------------------
*The few passages are neatly penned by a elagent hand and in the cornor of the frist few pages the name Anotropos Legenis is penned as if to inform as to whom wrote these.*

Chant of Rising Glory

One sword, One shield
An armor of light
The glory and hope

One sword,One shield

So that we may being glory and peace
Never shall we falter in light

One sword, one shield-

Chant of Breaking Dawn

Light we call on
Souls that depend on

Call on the day
As we pray

Diluculo usquequaque adveho

God we call on,
Light we depend on

Call on the day
As we pray

Diluculo usquequaque adveho

Glory were given
Glow never dimed

Call on the day
As we pray

Diluculo usquequaque adveho

Now as we pray
Never will you fade

Diluculo usquequaque adveho

Chant of Steel Souls

The Light.. It lingers on
For ever we work threw till dawn
May we keep faith and strength
May we do not fall from length

Alone in the night
We last till the dawn

We are soldiers
In the day,
We are watchmen
As it fades.

The etneral threat sleeps,
when our sun is above the keeps
Shall we watch even threw the day
We will not fall,
As we pray

The light,
It glows and weaves
The dawn,
It breaks and gleams
The Will
Strong and bound
The Strength
Knows no bounds

Here in the light never shall we fade.

Chant of Angelic glow

For his light and rightous calling,

We shall watch for any falling,

May we guard and look on light,

For this day shall be purged of blight,

Naught the evil flee from us,

As we will tear him thus,

The glory shine and untue him,

For he keeps us from darkest sin,

May we stride in glow and glory,

As we ride to sow his heavenly divine light

And we hold as we fight,

May his most heavenly glow,

May not fall from any blow.

*This section of the book now diverts from basic chants to something more advanced, it seems to be a combination of ways to fight, with slight pictures added and with chants to assist whilst you fight*

-Masses of foes combat-

When confronted with three or more foes aligned with the darkness, you shift your weight to your back foot and concentrate on deflecting with your shield and if you do not have a shield then the flat of your great blade-

*A picture shows a man with a towershield fending off four night risers, and the moment of the picture is caught with him striking the neck of one and its head flying threw the air landing onto the ground with the skull nearly parted in two- The second picture is a man with a greatsword blocking a volly of arrows by holding it diagonal to his person and with the flat of the blade facing his foes*

Whilst in that situation you may pray for lathanders grace to hasten step, to strength arm, or to allow you to last for as long as his light.

The chant is short and as follows-

Light and Grace,
Show not cowards face,
We stand and hold,
We so bold,
Lord of glory grant me strength-

-Single Foe combat-

When dealing with one or two very strong foes of the dark, You must concentrate and bid lathanders light to fill you as you prepare to fill your blade with your holy rage to smite the foe-
This is very hard to manage without paladin training, And thous whom try with out the discipline needed, Will get nothing more then a normal sword cut-

One must concetrate fully on the power you wield in your hand- The blade wence you have mastered this will gently hum with the massive amounts of power which pulse in the blade. One also must be carefull it is not unknown for a blade to shatter with the sheer force of a blow using this stratagem.

*The picture to this one shows a brutal Paladin it seems swinging with all the force he can muster, the blade leaves a slight trail behind it with the force and speed of the swing, you can see every detail of the darkspawns face in horrific suprise as the blow cleaves threw his shield, then his arm, now arriving to conncet with his shoulder and neck in a diagnoal swipe*

Not to be used on men of good soul, this is only for the people of darkness and what they embody- The gods of light shall not allow such a powerfull attack to be used on the good hearted of this place without reason.

A chant to assist in concentration may be found below-

Light guide,
Light Stride,
Light glow,
Light flow,
I am the channler,
Allow the darkness to feel your bite-

*The newest page contains ways to call for prayers from lathander, It is covered in chants and elagent script. Also A good deal of small chant like prayers are listed*

For a man of faith, Your god should heed and assist you. A paladin must ask for assistance once they reach a level that they are known to be utterly devote to thier lord.

As being a lathanderite and his light shines one knows at once that he accepts you into his fold. That you are a harbringer of light. Yet- That does not mean he shall grant you boon till you are ready to use such power.

Often times it is just a measure of faith and strength of will that you are gauged on. The Lord of eternal dawn does not prevent you from receving his most holy of blessing without reason. So if you are say a Fellow knight or Cleric of his most divine light. And your ablities to comune and recive boons from our god fade. Then expect that you have done something that enriched the darkness and must pay penace for it,

Now onto the use of prayer and boons, and how to call on them from out most beloved morninglord.

The most vitial of all our boons given to us by the LightBringer is,
The prayer and asking for your weapon to be blessed.
Often you can tell it is so by the way it explodes into his glorious light as you hold it high and the shadows reel in horror.

*A illustration is shown, of a paladin holding a hand and a half sword in the air, it seems to explode in light as the shadows about him reel back and the few undead gathered about him that he was combating explode into divine light.*

Now another that thous of faith, mostly thous whom deem themselfs Men and Women of faith can use to group benifit is just the generic "Bless" Prayer to imbune you and your enturage with divine light and power, often with such strength that the blades hum with divinty unleashed and strike with divine strength whilst thier aim is more true.

*This picture shows a cleric chanting solemmly out of a prayer book, and you see the band of fighters raise thier weapons in the air, cheering, as all thier blades seem to look as if golden with the light playing over them*

Also another usefull spell is that which protects you agianst the agents of evil and chaos, Known as Protection from Evil or Chaos

Often used to prevent the tendrils of evil from disrupting your mental state it is extremely effective but due to the wide spread ablity to cast such. One should not pray for it unless direly needed.

*This picture shows a paladin praying silently kneeling, and golden sparks seem to gently float from him as he prays.. form a kind of golden glitter like halo above his head.. as the continue to gently drift upwards.*

One most always be on gaurd for evil and its agenst and not fall victem to thier many traps, always remember to pray to lathander before battle against the dark, so one can move forth with his blessing and lay down the foe with his aproval.
