Yeah, a perk would do the trick. Something specific to Clerics of nature deities that replaces their Turn Undead with Rebuke Animals?

Am going to be amused if we add this and it becomes perk du jour for Malarites.

The Crimson Magician

malarites perk kills animals instead of turning

The only power malarites should have, is the ability to dominate malar beasts.

Just slaughter every animal. like you are supposed to.

It wouldn't be unreasonable for the perk to perhaps act in a similar way to turn undead. Based on alignment it could have different effects, for example Good/Neutral aligned clerics could have the ability to command animals through their 'turn undead', whereas Evil clerics could have a 'turn animals' effect. It would make some sense that a Malarite would have some ability to invoke a fearful reaction, and bring forth some sort of hunter/hunted reaction from wildlife.

Malarites sure should kill every animal they see, even if they are druids with 50 AE- (well maybe not worthless boar and deer) but say, a cleric of silvanus, should have a way of walking through the forest and not get killed by the jungle cats as the only alternative to kill them.  Since clerics can't cast invis, and they are terrible stealthers, something that allows a cleric of silvanus, lulure or whatever to avoid killing animals would be nice.

I had nothing nice to say so I edited this before I got banned again

Where's this "Malarites should kill all animals" idea come from? They enjoy the challenge, not boring bloodbath, and they're forbidden from slaying overmuch (such as young animals and pergnant ones) so as not to dwindle the animal population.

This would also make sense for Malarites, though probably Fear would be a more fitting effect.

Ordeal

I guess the other thing is that nothing is stopping you from making a Cleric that focuses on stealth. Clerics are -not- as in touch with nature as Druids, even if they worship nature deities. Clerics proselytize, they spread and support the faith. Druids also support the faith, as an aspect of a greater whole.

Hence, we have Mother Oggla.

Yes, but it would be fair to have the same kind of control over your deity's portfolio as other domains grant. You're not perfectly in tune with the planes even if you have the Good portfolio, and you can still turn outsiders, for example.

Being able to travel unmolested is a bit much, though, since druids and rangers have to invest a lot of skill points to be able to do that. Turning, on the other hand, is not an everyday solution and probably doesn't work on anything dangerous anyway, so I don't have a solution to offer. The idea is good in principle though, and would work for Malarites too.
