More Docks or other area services

The Docks is doing great right now, but a real problem there is that it's a pain to play a merchant or a faction with an HQ without rentable areas like guildhouses. The Hideout is great, but it's only accessible with the aid of someone with high lockpick, and is really more like the wilds camps. The Wastrel rooms on the other hand suffer from being too easy to rent. Anyone can acquire 350 gold without trouble if they want a room, so they always fall to the first PC to get there after the rent runs out, as opposed to mercantile PCs or  plotters.

Also, without a bank, chars have to carry all their gold, meaning that saving up for something big like trying to buy a guildhouse (liek the Laddermen have done) is at the risk of getting mugged, spawnkilled or otherwise losing it all.

I think it would be a good thing for the Merchant's Guild to offer offices/gang hideouts that range in size somewhere between the in rooms and Guildhouses. Require Merchant Guild Membership to set one up and to use their bank, and price it at around 1k. It'd offer much less than Patricianship, but still act as a gold sink and an initial cost to prevent any PC wanting to offload weight from just renting an office. More PCs woudl pay it too, to use the bank. It would offer banking services similar to how the Grotto bank operated. You pay a flat membership fee, not a deposit charge.

Yes Id like to add having a non-patrician/citybased PC faction, is hard considering you cant 'wand' if not a patrician and bought a guild name etc. Not speaking of the cost of it all, but the availability, considering there is no more 'ONE ZIG' as it was when this plan was initiated.
