The Queen and the Sailor Boy

There broke over that frantic crest
A grey ship's bow, all wreathed in spume
And there, with only Her abreast
Stood humble Valkur, all abloom
With lightning's touch and Bitch Queen's breath,
And spat upon her dreaded name
And drew his blade to certain death;
There thunder, lightning, black waves came
With, at the head, the Bitch Queen cried
Her curses at the Sailor Lad,
For he the first to have defied
That Dread Queen in the black surf clad
And with but blade, a boy so weak;
He cut the Bitch across her cheek.
