Tumble? Jump? Climb? Etc.

I'd like to say a little bit about Tumble checks, and their use in the server. Certain placeables rely on a Tumble check to bypass them, whether that be climbing something or jumping over it. In 3.0 and 3.5, things like this would be handled with Jump or Climb. However, those two skills are actually Strength based.

In Pathfinder, colloquially D&D 3.75, those two skills are replaced by Acrobatics, which is used for jumping and climbing. It is also dexterity based, and closer to what NWN uses as Tumble.

Now, certain classes that had access to the earlier skills of mobility (Barbarians have both Jump and Climb) have no access to the NWN skill Tumble, except for cross-classing it. In certain situations it can become very frustrating to try and get past obstacles, and indeed you can end up stuck for like a minute. I'm thinking specifically of the log in Stonehand and the tunnels past the Unyielding Pass.

I would like to propose an alternative to Tumble checks, for people that like to get around and be mobile, but don't have the skill points to cross-class a whole new skill (Tumble). It would serve the role of Jump and Climb as strength-based skills while combining both in the manner of Acrobatics.

For the obstacles in the server (which I quite enjoy, so don't get me wrong), allow the use of an EFUSS skill "Acrobatics", whose score is added to the relevant Tumble checks. For the actual Tumble skill as well, allow Acrobatics to function as Secondary Tumble, increasing the actual Tumble skill by 1 point for every 5 points in Acrobatics.

Climbing/leaping checks still rely on tumble, though... but Acrobatics will make it a little bit easier to cross class.
