Animal Companions, AE'd animals, and loot

So today I got around to doing what I've been meaning to do for a long time now on my druid, being exploring the island, getting tons of exploration XP, and going places I've never gone before. It was quite eventful and fun, I found some awesome things, fought mist ogres, located hidden NPC's, even found Gaeseric's Camp (did I spell that right? *shrug*). One thing I didn't like is how when my animal companion, or the dire wolves and cave bears I AE'd would kill something, is that no loot would drop, even when I killed something like an orc that I'm fairly sure always drops at least teeth (those teeth are important to me).

I seem to remember some months ago people complaining about druids and stealthers going around looting corpses and getting rich even though they never got the kill, and so it was changed so that a PC had to get the kill for stuff in the wilds to drop stuff. But in my honest opinion, this should not apply to AE'd monsters or animal companions (anyone with the stones to try an AE a cave bear deserves whatever loot it may bring them), there is no IC reasoning behind it (you may claim the animals eat the thing, but as the one commanding the creatures as the friend and alpha male of the little pack I have, I think I can tell them to hold off a sec as I take the gold off the corpse).

I'm assuming this belongs here, as it seems intentional, though it may be a bug... *shrug* Either way, I would very much appreciate it being changed.

Even teeths are not dropped always. Can't say I would have noted anything.

I killed a few orcs, not many, 3 or 4 altogether. I only was able to loot one, which did not have teeth (it was one of the mini-bosses, glowing red and all, who surprisingly my animal companion killed, so I guess mini-bosses don't have this bug/modification on loot), the others did not drop anything. It's possible it's just bad luck, but considering before now every orc I've slain (and looted) has had at least one lootable tooth, I find it unlikely.
