Yesterday I ran some difficult spice. I left a barrel in the end room with a lot of gold and potions and other tasty loot. Then I had to log so logged off.

Today I logged in hours after the party had finished their quest and saw it was still filled with all the loot I left for the group.

So remember to keep your eyes peeled!

And for the party on Coral Cove yesterday, I'm sorry you didn't get the treasure I left you.

I'll highjack that thread for the same purpose: we are so very used to quests that most of us don't bother to check some corners/alleys/caves/even containers/etc anymore.

Not every DM placeable will have such an obvious trail of huge footprints leading to it, nor will be always waiting in the boss room.

Sometimes we drop stuff to help you on the quest too, so if you just run past it and go 'we'll loot when we come out'... you're increasing your risks of not coming out.

Not to mention the fact that DMs have recently added new and rewarding sections to certain quests that you can easily miss if you stick to the beaten path.

The above applies to non-quests, too. Always explore, find everything you can on this server. Invis is cheap, +search gear is common, the things you can find are priceless. Leave no stone unturned, and realize that most of the things out there have a purpose or use, or hint at something, even if they don't glow when you mouse over them. Questing can only get you XP and loot, discovering the secret people and places of Ymph will get you that and more. (After about 2 hours of exploring I found a way of getting cheap potions, and found some very interesting NPC's and methods of growing much stronger which I won't mention here.)

Oh, and don't forget random encounters, uncharted areas, random bosses and hidden temporary areas, you grow rich fast by looking for (and in some cases killing) these.

Yalta

Damn it. I thought there would be something, must have contracted temporary blindness. :(
