Where did you post that message?

This is a two part suggestion, one for player behaviour and one for the forums. Playing a character that does not have easy access to all the areas, I am oft confused as to which posters my character can read and which ones they cannot.

To whit I suggest people are more rigorous indicating at the start of their post which areas the document is posted to, in an OOC fashion. If the note is sprinkled liberally around on the ground in the inner ruins and on the path to the Umberlee temple, I would like to know. If it is only on the noticeboard outside the Kingsman, that is also useful knowledge. If people could be bothered typing those few extra lines, it would save some heartache for players of characters like mine.

The second suggestion, for the forums, is that the posted section be separated by location. At the moment all messages are still officially "Ruins Litter - Strewn in and around the Ziggurat, and shouted from atop." Not only might this confuse new players, it is also not very helpful for separating what a character might read. It wouldn’t need to be a lot of forums, maybe just ziggurat, docks and other (inner ruins, Gobsquat and out in the wilds).

Agreed. Would make things more readable and clean. Not to mention that some days the notes are so often refreshed/new added, that when you're gone for a week or something, it's really easy to miss important stuff.

Divide the Ruins Litter into a couple sections would by my suggestion:

-Ziggurat
-Docksx
-Exiled Camp/Starwood (+your general wilderness)
-Gobsquat/Sewers maybe

Dr Dragon

I completely agree with dividing a public notices in two separate areas like how before we had a separate forum for Upper and another forum for Lower. It makes complete sense to do this for the docks.

Drakill Tannan

And for the wilds. Separate the forum in the following sections:

Ruins litter
-Throughout the ziggurat
-The docklands
-The wilds

People can add their own locations. Separate forums are just more unnecessary work IMO.

We're not creating separate forums. If people don't post specifically where the notice is (which they should) then it can be assumed that everyone can read it.

This is how I've always understood it to work. Fine as it is, IMO.

This is how I've always played it.  Unless the area is specified, and is an area that my PC would not have access to, I've just treated public postings as similar to the gossip, major events, and rumors thread.  It is something that your PC would hear about or see directly or indirectly, from one source or another.

IMO, it's not a major issue unless it's specifically stated that it's posted in say, the Docks, and you're banned from the Docks under penalty of death.
