I think it would be cool if these weapon enchantments had a glow effect. The different kinds of the enchantments can glow different colors, i.e orange for fire, white for cold, blue for electric, green for acid. Just a simple suggestions that would be sweet, if possible.

Relinquish

Don't they already do that? Maybe you have it disabled in your graphics.

Pup

I know the visual effects work for me.
"So what else is on your mind besides 100 proof women, 90 proof whisky, and 14 karat gold?"
"Amigo, you just wrote my epitaph."

I mean like an ambient glow or whatever it's called. Similar to when you cast a light spell, or if you equip a glow item.

Disco

IMO the flame/acid/whatever effect should be removed like in the old days. That way a DM looted magic sword on fire would stand out agien, like it is soposed to do.

Equinox

You can tell this anyway, no one walks around with perma weapon buffs.

derfo

I like what Disco suggests, but it is just a minor visual effect anyways.

TheImpossibleDream

Another invisible buff would be yummy.

putrid_plum

I actually am for the removal of the fancy glowing, it was nice when glowing magical weapons meant something.

9lives

What did they mean?

Drakill Tannan

They mean: Chesse. With bacon.

Ranek

The initial suggestion is good, simply adding the effect of light (Dim or whatever, with the respective color) to the weapons with Dark Fire/Flame Weapon. I don't even know if it's possible or easy, but heh, it would be alright. The rest was off topic.

Cruzel

i dont know why ppl r whining about glows when all this guy wanted was some dim light, make a new thread if you hate glows so much lol... to the OP, adding dim light of each color is p easy, and is good idea imo

putrid_plum

yes sorry i suggested something in a suggestion forum where it was basicly about the same thing

Nufferz

I like the OP's idea. It adds some flavor to the powerful spell that is flame weapon since light can be good or bad.

Off topic remark: as anyone with a permanent glowing weapon would know, people can easily detect DM perma glow vs. player temp glow. I have had two and both were sent plenty of PMs about it.
