The last time I started a thread in general discussion it was a bit on the negative side of things. This time I'm going to keep it positive. Feel free to play along, but if you'd like to post in this thread, you'll be required to list one thing, be it large or small, that you enjoy about EFU.

That little thing that keeps you logging in, itching for more.

I'll start things off by saying the skin overrides by Mort have made this game, despite its age, delectably genuine eye candy. Each area is a god damned treat to walk into and explore.

So what is it you like about EFU?

The community and the mystery keeps me coming.

I love the endless string of interesting characters that people keep coming up with.  When one really catches my eye, I enjoy sort of keeping tabs on them and their story.  Reading their journal (some of these are just great), reading their forum posts, and even becoming friends with them IG.
"So what else is on your mind besides 100 proof women, 90 proof whisky, and 14 karat gold?"
"Amigo, you just wrote my epitaph."

"Maybe there's just one revolution.  The good guys against the bad guys.  The question is, who are the good guys?"

Whoring random encounters for cure crit potions! ^_^

Well, random encounters in general. Along with the perks system, the summon theme system, EFUSS, subbosses, mobs yelling custom insults and everything else that adds variety to the environment and characters in ways unique to EfU:A.

Cerberus

The role-play... The vast majority of the members put great effort into RPing and breathing life into their characters.

TheImpossibleDream

The fact that simple point and click is rarely the answer thanks to the abundance of consumables. Mort's overrides also.

Random_White_Guy

The Conflict on EFU:A has gone above and beyond anything I had ever seen in Underdark.

Rampant FDing for loot and otherwise, Full Looting bandits, Wordless Attacks. These have all been reduced to a fair minimum where they were massive in the UD. Folks care about story. They care about RP power and the implications of breaking such. They care about advancing plots at the cost of themselves (Be it character lives, supplies, plot time, etc).

They care about changing the setting (Which is more sandbox and awesome), and care about leaving a mark.

Just feels like EFU:A is a little more mature, a little more fleshed out, and a whole lot more enthralling in terms of PC to PC, faction to faction, and group to group interaction.

RwG nails it for me, really. Plus the ability to put my own creative mark on the server makes EfU:A great fun.
i walked one morning to the fair

TheBluePrince

The player groups, each time a player group goes I think, man that was such a cool group of characters and plots, I'll never see that again, and then BAM, another one. Even more awesome. :)

The Beggar

The Fact I can crush Equinox.

GoblinSapper

This place did what I thought was impossible - created a dynamic, high fantasty low magic world that wasn't bogged down in stupid crap and internet drama or redonkulous high level demonic invasions.

TheBluePrince

Quoteredonkulous high level demonic invasions

We cancelled our redonkulous high level demonic invasions? What am I going to do with all my vorpal swords now? :-D

Divine Intervention

I like the intrigue, I like stories and EFU is like a never-ending story, I like the fact that I can have the wildest idea for a character spring into my head and then just go and make it as awesome as possible.

derfo

free and fun, unique and original game, that you can occasionally make your own mark on too
