These currently cost 120 gold each to brew. That's 50% more than a bulls strength potion and and 5 times more than a potion of bless.

I'd like to suggest a reduction in it's cost to be more in line with it's power level. Maybe 40 gold, double the cost of bless to account for it's temporary hitpoint boost.

This confused me too.

Aid is a level 3 spell i think that is why. But i agree, it should not cost too much more than a potion of bless.

Caddies

If anything, the other potions should be raised in price. EFU' is already the playground of full AB classes or multiclasses thereof, zero interest in lowering the cost of a key potion for them when its already so available with ambient loot.

ExileStrife

Aid potions are sickly good, and Caddies is right on the money with the fact that other potions like BS should probably be increased rather than aid becoming cheaper.

o god what have you people done

MY POTIONS! THEY R COSTING MORE!!!

VanillaPudding

Point remains, no one is going to pay the price of nearly a haste potion for a potion of aid. It needs / should be lowered a decent amount and perhaps bring the others up to 50-60 gold to be near it as well.

As you said, they're already a common bit of ambient loot! If you want to reduce the 'fighter's playground' feel then modify your quest drops rather than nerf a side-aspect that is already never used because it's so freely found on quests. (That being, brewed potions of aid - bless - divine favor - restoration - and more!)

Caddies

So you want the price reduced on an item you think is already found alot on quests? I am confused.

I know plenty of people who pay for PC-brewed aid potions, myself included. Its fine, honestly.

VanillaPudding

I don't see very many purchasing ~130 gold aid potions, no, and have never had the need to myself since they are in such abundance on quests. Your reasoning for them to not be reduced was that they are so easily found and yet argue it's also too much of a playground for fighters. The best solution is to reduce their drops on quests, along with other similar types, so that player trading becomes more viable and worthwhile.

People purchase blurring, haste, displacement and healing potions at an overwhelming percentage compared to others. Some of that is due to their usefulness, a lot of it is due to the fact that the others drop too often. Even on my cleric I have an extra supply of aid, bless, and divine favor due to quests dropping them too often. The suggestion has gone off it's course now anyway and the original point remains that they are overpriced for the supply and demand style market that never changes since the same supply is always required. (Yet some demand is easily supplied by quest drops!)

Potions/Scrolls/Wands prices are likely to go up in the future. Not down. The two fixes you proposed are not that appealing:

 (1) Lowering price...

 (2) Going through all loot drops and tweaking...

Aid Potions have this little 'bonus' to them that makes MUCH more useful then you might think. The hitpoint boost stacks which mean that gulping 10 aid potion can double your health pool...

Who would do that you say? Well, I did. It has a wonderful mental effect that the bonus HP doesnt count toward your status. So you can take a 30 dmg crit and still be uninjured. People generally freak out when that happen and make all sorts of mistake.

Some people drink it for their +1 ab, but the functionality above makes them much more worthwhile. Especially to low HP class who want to get some buffer zone to be more comfortable in certain situations.

You can never have enough, hence, lowering their price is not desired, nor do I want to go through all loot drops and tweak 30-40 tables.

I think things are fine the way they are.

I didn't know they stacked..

People. The World Economy is in a downturn, and as such, EFU:A potion prices shall be affected with raises in the future. Thank you for your understanding.
