I'm playing a pure-class bard here as well and am enjoying the experience.  While it definitely isn't the most powerful class out there, the RP can be a lot of fun.

i agree with amatorywatches but i think people should play bards when they want to play bards. if there is a drop in bard population then i don't think that's grounds for saying 'WHOA BUFF BARDS HOW CAN WE CHANGE THIS WHAOWHAWOHWOWHAWOHA' like some people

amatorywatches has it. More to the point however, bards tend to be able to use most any loot that they come across. What's more, the server has a lot of bard-only consumables. A well-played bard is a great addition to any party in a purely mechanical sense as they can fill most any need if they are willing to adjust tactics. Builds that mix bard levels with more martial oriented classes tend to be highly effective combinations.
