"But, I've yet to find a doorlock that I can pick. True, I'm still low level, have only been on the server about a week, and have yet to travel very far from the Zig, but every door I've come to is either already unlocked or "requires a special key". Sorry if that's a bit off-thread."

Yeah that's a quote from someone I already I forgot the name of, but yeah, I kinda think the key requirment for doors is silly. I mean, It shouldn't be easy to unlock it, but I think a rogue would be able to unlock a door if he was skilled enough. I get it if maybe the DMs don't have that area behind a locked door ready for the public eye yet, but once factions get set up I would like to not see locks that can't be opened with knock or open lock.

(A good example of what I'd like to see is the old seeker HQ that had a lock on the door, of which I often unlocked and poked about inside.)

The whole point of the rogue is that he can get where other people can't. Oftentimes without being seen. Right now, rogues are a little class people like to add to their fighters for sneak attack damage, that's all. Everything else they do is kinda useless. There needs to be more of a benefit for people who have the guts to go pure rogue class.

Just remember that not EVERY door has something behind it. While I agree those that do could have a unlock DC. There are some Doors that the DM's would prefer to supervise PC's entering/attempting to break into, etc. Such as faction areas.

Also keep in mind that the concept of the area itself, the type of doors, they may not use physical keys per se, or ones that a rogue from wherver might know how to pick.

Shooting down aside, I have found a few doors I can pick, and they lead to neat places. Just explore more!

This has always annoyed me. I think the DMs do this, usually, because there just isn't an area behind that door. They could put one in, but it would clutter the server pretty fast... Also, it IS sometimes faction areas or DM-event areas that are uberlocked. However, if a few more pickable doors could be put in... maybe a few chests in obscure areas... maybe?

If you want to get into a faction area using open lock you can contact a DM to supervise such.
