Playing an archer, I am really beginning to hate the fact that its so easy to not notice when you've run out of whatever arrow you're using, and are using your fancy arrows that you are saving for whatever.  If someone can post me a means of selecting which arrow is going to be "next", I will appreciate it, otherwise I will get to the point of this post.

Make a "Bundle of XXX Arrows" object please, that has a one time use that destroys the bundle, and creates x number of arrows of whatever type it is.  Make this "Bundle" object NOT an arrow itself.  This way you can save yoour special arrows until you want to use them, pop them open like those bags of herbs, and use them selectively.

There was another thread about this, and a solution was offerd. Search for it.

Talir

When running empty, it will take the next set of arrows in line in your inventory.

Pup

I've found it goes in order of when the arrows were placed in your inventory (newest arrows first).  It's a pain, but just remove the arrows from your inventory and replace them in the reverse order you would like.  Hence, the most special ones first.
"So what else is on your mind besides 100 proof women, 90 proof whisky, and 14 karat gold?"
"Amigo, you just wrote my epitaph."

I think arrows that you keep within a bag, will not be auto-equipped.

Disco

I belive it will auto equip the top left arrow bundle in your inventory.

sylvyrdragon

I thought it autoequiped the last bundle you put in your pack.

So if you have 99 regular arrows that have been there and then pick up some fancy arrows, it will take the fancy ones as those were the last ones placed in the pack.

With my last Character, everytime I picked up fancy arrows, I would then drop and pick up some regular ones.  I rarely had the problem of the 'autoequip' this way.

Dhund

Sylvyr has it. It uses the last acquired arrows. Last in, first out.
<@Mort> Dhund is on the money, imo

Yep. So, the best way to be certain not to use them special arrows is to... you guessed it.... DROP them all and pick them up in the opposite order that you want them used.

Or just keep a close eye on your character sheet and manually switch stacks as you're getting low.

Decimate_The_Weak

It tells you...

"You only have 10 shots left of this ammunition!" ... or something close to that.

Shouldn't be hard to tell when you're running low.

FleetingHeart

It can be fairly easy to miss that warning in battle
