The Children of Yondalla

As our Grandmother Yondalla directs, we will welcome all kin to our fold with open arms, and help them acclimate to the Ziggurat, and help them make their way home as they desire.

With Arvoreen's Guidance, we will protect our people on Ymph, with martial prowess and wit.

We shall be clever, and as Brandobaris teaches, use wit and cleverness to obtain what our kin require, without resorting first to violence or threats.

With Cyrrollalee's blessing, we shall make the Colony the Homeland that we seek, for all those of us who wish to live upon it.

We will encourage the growth and protection of the plants of Ymph, as well as the foodstuffs to feed our people, as Sheela Peryroyl commands.

We will strike boldly, and trust in the luck Tymora grants us to gain what will best benefit our people.

In the name of Urogalan, we protect the sanctity of the rest for all halflings that pass upon the isle.

As is done to one of us, it is done to all of us.
To those that treat our kin as friends, we treat them as beloved friends.
To those that treat our kin badly, so we shall name them foe.

//Come play a halfling! Afraid you don't know the lore? Just ask, and we'll happily tell you what we know.

((So I'm not entirely sure how these threads are supposed to work, but I want to post a few more details on the fledgling halfling faction.

There's a lot to be had with this faction. It's been a ton of fun with my hin Dalabrock, as the halfling faction has essentially been nonexistant until now. There's tons of opportunities to be had for RP. In particular, there has been plenty of racial RP of all kinds: Tension with other races, camaraderie with fellow halflings, plenty of adventure and political RP (we're slowly gaining ground on getting into the political scene of the Colony!) and lots of other stuff too.

When you play a halfling, you're instantly greeted by other halflings who will happily play with you and adventure with you, so there's always someone to do something with. And if business deals are involved, fellow kin give each other a good price. ;)

I've been a long time player of humans, and have never once considered playing a halfling until now. As such, I was a little hesitant because I knew next to nothing about playing a halfling, or any of the hin lore, but it's been a lot of fun getting to learn a new race.

So come play a halfling and be apart of the monumental beginnings of an up-and-coming faction!

Actually, I played Champion of Brandobaris, an account whose character, Joric Featherfall, strived to become a Champion of Brandobaris and we had a nice little group going for us, we even had a Dm quest where we robbed a house.

Alas, the Artifacts of Brandobaris, which Joric held, are still about for any prospective halfling who knows where to look, and those who hold them are guaranteed an adventure...

I'd love to see a Champion of Arvoreen, to be blunt.

Joric was a pretty cool character, Thomas.

Updates since the creation of this thread:

The Children of Yondalla are a faction with a guildhouse, with storage, and we are currently engaged in a deal for the Cloister in the Temple district, to convert to a more permanent open home.

We've multiple patricians, giving us support on the council as a voice for all our group and goals.

In short: We're a rising faction, now is the time to jump on

We've close ties to the Mendon Estate, the ART, the Pallid Mask, and the Ymphian Arcana, giving us political and practical allies when we need them.

And, most importantly, we endulge wanderlust. When theres little else going on, we just pick up all our people, head to the raft, and choose a direction, and just explore for exploring's sake.

Come make a hin, and have fun.

I'd so be on that, if it didn't require a melee weapon focus. Poor Jerris. D:
