Yes, I have some stargazer suggestions.

Make the subrace a non-app one.  This would likely double the number of active stargazer PCs at any time.  The mechanical perks of this subrace are fairly small compared to most other app only subraces, so game balance really shouldn't be an issue.

If the DM staff wants keep the race application only to control who plays a stargazer, then IMO more faction loot/perks should be given or at least made available to be purchased or rewarded with for good play as an incentive to play this subrace.

Unlikely this will happen.  We want to control how stargazers are represented in this setting, that's why we like checking what people will be doing with the subrace before allowing it in.  It's not difficult to apply for though.  Don't think of it being on par with something like a tiefling or minotaur.  We usually just do a quick glance at stargazers and as long as it's not something like, "I want to become the admiral of a fleet of ships," it's usually approved.

I actually kind of like that Stargaze are application only personally.  Most of the Stargazers that I've encountered are pretty solid and quality characters.  It gives the DMs a modicum of control over a EfU created subrace.  The idea to lower restrictions on it just to create more Stargazers just doesn't seem like it would be too beneficial.

An application should never discourage players from trying something like this out.

Well, to echo the DM then - IT'S EASY TO GET APPROVED!

Really would like to see some nice gaza flava faction loot to help out lowbie gazers, like an invis 1/day item.

Some good Hide/MS things given or purchasable would help also I think.

Given what some of the hidden Stargazer vendors may or may not sell Gwydion, I'd say that many of your concerns have been covered. -.-

Considering he was talking about low levels I highly doubt hidden gazer merchants would be any help to them.

They should definately be app-only, or at least require a DM go ahead on IRC or the forums in some way. Stargazers are one of those races not anybody can play, because there is information you need to know first!  Even after I apped and got approved, two days later I had an instance of a DM pointing out that I was doing something a stargazer would probably not be doing!

I think Cruzel nailed it. You can't get information elsewhere on the stargazers, as they are a EFU:A custom race. Therefore the aplication makes sure you know how to play one.
