Hate to use a whole thread for this but please do not use the word Dayrisers. It's considered metagaming and is THE CANCER.

Luke Danger

If I recall right (and I very well may be wrong here!), 'Dayrisers' was a term based of Nightriser PC's being in the sun and unaffected, or at least that's what I heard. I heard it in passing only, so I'm not sure 100%, but that's what I understood.

Lascivious

I was under the same impression. Could be wrong, tho.

I have to question this. If I'm incorrect, I'm incorrect and thats the end of it. But in my personal experience, this term came about when they were sighted in the sewers during daylight hours (myself being a witness to this), which I think we all can agree is an oddity.

Therefore while still indistinguishable from Nightrisers based on the fact that they are merely skeletons, the 'Dayriser' term could and in my mind makes sense to be applied to any Nightrisers found up and about in the sewer level or higher during daylight hours, and therefore not metagaming but rather reffering to a distinct and unusual phenomenon.

However, as I said earlier, unless encountered in the sewers or higher during daylight hours it would indeed be impossible to distinguish PC Risers from NPC Risers, and any use of the term then would indeed be metagaming.

Listen in Silence

Perhaps slightly sidetracking of the thread but; what? PC Nightrisers can do things NPC nightrisers would not be able to, although there's no difference between them? Sounds a bit weird.

NightmareBeforeXmas

People call us 'dayrisers' because we venture in the sewers during the day. However as told by Mort many times already on IRC there is no difference, I am sure he'd be more than willing to spawn Riser NPCs during the day in the sewers but unlike Nightriser PCs NPCs do not use subdue.

Lock this topic already.

Contrary to popular belief... nightrisers can be found during the day in the depths of the Ziggurat.  Feel free to stroll down there and have a look yourself.
