Remove the Party Map Pins on the map.

That is all, Ladies and Germs.

Listen in Silence

Why not just trust in people not to metagame this?

Give peace a chance.

Believe me, I'd do it in a heartbeat, but it causes a side-effect that makes it consequently uplayable.  The only known way to do it will make all PCs in your group invisible to you on the regular screen.  :(

(The process involves intercepting and overwriting location data between the server and the client whenever the client requests it.  However, the client doesn't make any distinction between on-screen location info, the location info for the little compass arrow next to player names, and the map-pin info, so there's no way to turn off just one and keep the others.  It is really fucking stupid how Bioware made this work, since it spams extra location calls when you have the map open and especially when you have a large group, even though you're already getting that info periodically for drawing players on the screen.  Why doesn't it just use one request for all three, or separate requests for the different functions?  Who knows.  Thanks Bioware.)
