I found this the other day, and it's simply AMAZINGLY EPIC. Does anyone know how to do an override and have it as the main menu music?

'making an override' for this should be easy. Just download it and rename it to what the menu's sound file is named.  That should do it, provided it's in the correct format with a codec the game can read.

(To find the name you might need to use a bif extractor, you should look on nwvault to find one)

Sternhund

Epic music.

Pretty sure you won't need a bif extractor. Just rename them from bif to mp3 and mp3 to bif.

To clarify:

Either name this song "mus_x2theme.bmu" and put it in your override folder, or put it in the 'music' folder, which will permanently overwrite the normal theme unless you make a backup of mus_x2theme.bmu

Then open NWN and it SHOULD all work :)

Note : This will work with anything in your music folder, allowing you to easily substitute your own music for the music contained in the game. Go crazy with it.

I like this because its of a higher fidelity than the one in the game. I was really hoping that NWN2 would have done this to the music in it instead of rehashing the files used in the previous game.

But truly an epic rendition this is.

Voular

I hate that damn intro music.

Actually, it could just be me, but I don't think that the file works. Has anyone else tried it? I don't even get anything out of it. Whenever I go to the main menu, there's just no music.

Haven't tried, you need something to convert the file to .bmi otherwise it'll just be .bmp.mp3 better to just use morts thing <_<

I really like the one Mort put out with the Icewind Dale 1 theme.  Its excellent.
