Change sewer rat corpses to regular remains

A minor change, but when you try to wade through larger groups of these corpses in narrower parts of the sewers, it's easy to get stuck on these piles of rats.

While it's cool to see dead rats around and people picking the meat out of them, and really not a problem on more docile sewer treks, I've been somewhat hindered by getting stuck on these corpses in PvP chases/escapes or running from nightrisers and the like in the past, to the point where it produces a frustrating outcome.

In short, I don't think this would detract too much, and would be pretty helpful.

If you click past them it isn't an issue.

I would really like to see Guts and Sinews removed as a Sewer Rat drop, as people kill the rats, take the meat, leave the guts/sinews and create huge clutter. Without them, then the corpses would clear when some enterprising L3 comes along and loots the entire sewers.

I have been suggested to click past before, and encounter the same problem.

Since the topic has come up...

Didn't the sewer rats in EFU:UD fade after a short while?  I even remember them turning into some type of ooze.  Unless I'm just imagining the whole thing maybe this would clear up the clutter of the rat corpses.

Disco

If you click past them it isn't an issue. <--- It is if you are a large creature.

I am Totaly for this suguestion.

Since the implementation of 1.69, clicking to walk/run gets you stuck quite alot on tileset parts, as it seems the engine no longer routes you around these as well as before. This is best saolved by wasding, which gets you stopped by rat corpses. Having been off on that tangent, just as derf I still experienced problem with the rats while clicking, too, though.

And i imagine it contributes a lot to lag, in the eternal battle against lag i'll supprt anything that reduces it.

If it does.

Can a real dm comment on this?

I'd prefer the corpses just disappear altogether, but there is some issue with that. We'll look into it.

Relinquish

I always thought the "Tiny ooze" absorbed all the corpses after a while, though it may just be that rat hunters grabbed the remains and ran between my sightings in the sewers.

Mort

That was part of the plan. It isn't that easy to do. Part of the problem is that it leaves glowy blue stuff wherever a corpse was taken making the sewers filled with blue lights.
