I think Stargazers should be able to rest in the wilds like a ranger.

Not sure if its mechanically feasible or not, but it would seem to make sense that they should be able to.

Gippy

Why can't they spend 5 gp on oil and make a fire?

The Crimson Magician

It's a hassle, even if it is cheaper then the Kingsman's.

Jayde Moon

I pretty much agree with this.

Because as a tribe of wild, heavily nature oriented halflings, I'd suspect learning how to live (rest?) off the land would be something they would have all been taught growing up.

Plus rain prevents a campfire from being put up when I believe druid/rangers can rest during the rain without any trouble whatsoever.

Snoteye

Take ranger levels.

As a possible change, could Stargazers be given Favoured Class Ranger in addition to/instead of Favoured Class Barb? This solves the problem by making it easy to take a survival- oriented class.

Where's the hassle in clicking your oil flask then the ground?

Less nonsensical suggestions that 'make sense' ICly but don't really add anything great, and more suggestions for actual improvements IMO.

We're going to need a much better argument than your suffering multiclass XP penalty.

Gippy

I don't care if you're savage and nature oriented most people camp around a fire. It's 5 gold. Your NPC sells them. TBH tucking away into a cave to rest and setting up a fire is a lot sweeter to me in terms of RP then *PLOPS DOWN ON GROUND RANDOMLY AND GETS ALL SPELLS BACK.*

This is your point Gippy?

"TBH tucking away into a cave to rest and setting up a fire is a lot sweeter to me in terms of RP then"

Then we should take resting without fire away from rangers and druids, to improve RP.

Ridiculous.

They may be not as "civilised" as the people of the colony, but living in the wildeness doesn't mean they don't need fire. I say they should need a fireplace, maybe not a bedroll, but a fireplace would be nice.
