EFU Slavery

Building on the development of the Ranger/Druids being able acquire custom companions I was considering a way to beef up one of the coolest aspects of EFU. Slavery as a whole is one of the most universally reviled things a PC on EFU can partake in that will make necromancers and paladins alike seek to kill you.

While the idea of outright KILLING/RETIRING PCs who are captured as slaves is always there because let's be honest, PC to PC slavery is junk and fails 90% of the time- I feel like there's a lot of potential systems already implemented right now in EFU Which could lead to a huge degree of awesome and fun. You don't have to ruin a PC's day to make your PC more prominent and these are just some brainstorms about how NWN can create Slavery through scripts to promote the most sinister profession.

Pitch A: Bounty Slavery
The simplest and most easy one would be Sorrowfeast Island Bounties. A merge of the concepts of Necromantic Corpses and Upper Sanctuary Bounties. Not bounties that let you get into sorrow feast island but named NPCs of humanoid races around the module to be bested and enslaved, providing supplies/gold/Xp but also something highly, highly dubious. The NPC could be stationed outside the Sorrowfeast Gate as a way for PC slavers to still turn in slaves even if they aren't yet members. (Since DMs prefer that be acquired through PC slavery).

Like how Necromantic Corpses drop from certain kills these slaves could drop "Unconcious Body of X", an item representing an enslaved NPC. It would have considerable weight on it and be something condemnable if a PC caught carrying by most reasonable people.

If it was to be taken a step further you could even consider an occasional "Burst" message like how the Illithid items publicly show their use. Just the occasional [X is carrying an unconscious figure] or similar.
Pitch B) The Transport of Slaves
Similar to the old "Escort the Rothe from Sis Liman to Mistlocke" (Which got some drama but not much), I quite love the idea of some slavemaster asking for a slave or similar to be transferred across the Underdark. A Humanoid NPC who would be clearly labeled as like Bound Slave and made a short term henchman to be dragged through the Underdark as you fend off spawns.

Something from maybe say The Mound of Magnatz to Fort Mur for instance, with the monsters trading in humanoid trafficking. Then of course PCs could have the option to Free the slave if slavers are found or other similar enterprises.
Pitch C) Wandering Traveler Slaves.
Less overt maybe than traditional slavery there's many wandering traders and travelers looking for directions to Sanctuary and so on. Something as simple as an [ENSLAVE] Dialogue option where the NPC then shouts "NO, NO YOU WON'T TAKE ME" and a fight breaks out. On victory you get X amount of gold for enslavement or potentially kill the PC instead of capturing it.

Anyone witnessing it would have clear and present reason to take umbrage with a slaver and the business of slavery is proliferated.
Pitch D) Custom EFU Slave Companions.
Slave-Merchants could sell custom druid/ranger animal companions similar to the Random which offers a Goblin henchman, instead though being more humanoid.  Also potentially custom slave familiars for Wizards and Sorcerers. The kind of thing where PCs can acquire unique and obviously enslaved henchmen of somewhat greater strength because of the heat it will bring for owning/possession of such an individual creature in public.
Pitch E) Fighter Slaver Perk Slave Henchman
Kinda on the nose but change the Level 8 Slaver perk to allow for a Palemaster style NPC selection of a "Henchman" upon reaching level 8 via Crating Menu which would be some minor strength humanoid or monstrous or beastial slave. A non-evil example of course would be a Beastmaster or Lion Tamer type with an Animal Henchman while a more malice sort could have a Thayan Knight slave or an Ogre slave or similar.

Not the sort of NPCs that could break the server but add some mechanical advantage for how dangerous slavery can be in making the whole server hate you as well as an element of additional evil slaver favor.
Anyway, just some late night EFU suggestions.

Do with it what you will!

Naturally these could be intermingled or etc. Slaver Perk fighter could receive a bonus or perk to any of these ideas if implemented like how the Smuggler Perk gets the Fort Mur smuggler improvement, etc. Not to say all slavers must be fighters with slaver perk but just throwing another potential spin on things.

I know henchman stuff is kinda frowned on at times by some DMs so that could take things in another way, stepping back from henchmen.

For the slave escort, I like the idea of buying a slave from one of several slave merchants around the Underdark and bringing them to other merchants. Each merchant pays more or less than what you spent, but their prices fluctuate so you never know if you're going to get a good offer. It could be lucrative or you might lose money on a deal. There should be a limit, though. I imagine if you move too many slaves a day, the merchant will just get suspicious that you're killing the cargo.

Additionally, I like the idea of people hanging out by the edge of the Dark Lake and having slavers spawn to kidnap you. If you get knocked out by a slaver, you automatically get dragged to a slave pen where you can either fight for your freedom, or try to sneak out. And we need more slaver vessels.

I agree 100% that more slaver content is needed.

I'm an especially big advocate for ambient spawns from bounties and 'wanderers' being able to be sold to Sorrowfeast by scum and criminals.

As I recall, it is possible to "purchase" a humanoid "Animal Companion" somewhere, which could be considered a slave. There also appears to be some manner of "Enslaved" Summoning Theme. Though I do agree, for people who want to go down the "Slaver" paths there is very little they can do without direct DM aid/supervision.

Generally like RwG ideas, however I do think that PC's enslaving other PC's should be possible. This just doesn't work like you beat someone in a fight, put them in chains and say now your my slave. That's boring. However something like what the conclave had (But obviously not the same) where they had those collars. Something along these lines would be cool, like put something in the module where you could tag someone with something as a slave, punish them in some manner for being disobedient but also put in ways that the slave can work towards becoming free. Allow them free reign though so they don't have to be online when the slaver is etc.

I think something like that would make for much more interesting slaver concepts. Though maybe something like this would be an application only deal.
