Poot Shroomtracker with the Truffletoes

The Poot Abides.  well he did...

Well folks it was time for the Ole Poot to go to the great psychedelic shroom farm in the sky. He died fighting orogs in his favorite place, The Shroomstalk Forest.  Poot was my first go at a gnome and I ended up enjoying the little fella immensely. He had one heck of a long run and turned into a 95 HP tank for the team Nature as a level 8/9 pure Ranger.  After the death of his Lovely lavender, Poot became reckless and it finally caught up to him.

His humble beginnings:

Poot was once a merchant of Waterdeep.He was the purveyor of a small herb shop (Pontificating Poot's Potions and Phylacteries). The local brewers and alchemists frequented his place because of his reputation for being able to wander the wilds and find all manner of useful growing things.  When the Dread struck, Poot and a few gathered allies holed up in his shop as long as they could. They were eventually overrun by the dread and slaughtered one by one.  Poot was one the final survivors and had to abandon the ruined city. Alone and starving he came across a stand of striped toadstool.  Knowing he would probably die from the toxins,  he decided to eat as many as he could to end it all.  Instead of dying he sank into a deep hallucinogenic trance.  In this state he wandered, giggling, letting the Shroom Visions guide him.  He has a vague recollection of trudging through snows, finding warmth in a dead cave bear, communing with a dying great tree and being thrown into a large sack by a massive tribal warrior.  Poot awoke somewhat lucent in the cave of the Myconoids and was saddened to find out they were inedible.

So Poot decided to dedicate himself to the "Way of the Shroom". He spent days wandering the UD  searching for the perfect Shroom vision state. Poot tried sniffing, licking(purple crystal shroom!),  ingesting, smoking,  and distilling (then drinking) various fungal products.  He was rewarded for his dilligent efforts by an amazing shroom suit (thanks AMB).  Thanks so much to the always outstanding team nature crew of players.  Poot enjoyed his time with the many  PC's that came through nature and the Stewards.  He especially enjoyed Groah, Areensi, Wolfspider, Maker (yes, shrooms are people too),  Eoghan (even when he wanted to kill Poot for trying to feed his Hound) and the Gnome Crew (Frado, Duncan and the lovely Lavender).  Big thanks for all the RP with Diz-e and Heart of Oak (we never went to the Fey!) .

Poot will me missed by everyone who ever met him. I really enjoyed every interaction with him as Bodoc. It is really sad to see him go :( May your Guardian of the circle live on in spirit!

I loved playing with Poot.  Wolfspider didn't care for him, but then again he didn't care for most.  Well done!

Poot was great because he was more than just a schtick or gimmick concept. I felt like his personality fleshed out quite a bit by the time he got that suit. Good stuff X!
