An EFU Calendar Tool

I was thinking it would be interesting to have some kind of EFU calendar tool that corresponds IC Dates with RL Dates. DMs (and maybe players too) could input gossip & rumor information as well as planned events. It would be a way to both be able to more easily review past rumors/events as well as see what planned events there are for the future. Does anyone know of anything free out there that would serve this function or have any interest in making it?

Yes, this can be done. I might be able to put something together for you. Depends on my schedule; I will get back to on this. The rumors would be most easily done as Links from the calendar to the specific post, however.

Would you want that calendar to be a Forgotten Realms calendar with the Real Life dates? OR a Real Life calendar with the forgotten realm dates. They are just as easy to build and put together, honestly.

Also, I would assume you'd want this to be modifiable by all of the DMs and None of the players.

The idea would be something we could either add to our website or have hosted somewhere that is a RL Calendar but lets DMs (and probably select players) input various information: i.e. events, rumors, gossip, etc. You would be able to look back to see when particular events happened as well as what events are planned in the future (whether PC events or DM events). A link to a particular rumor post would be fine.

The idea would be to make it modifiable both by Dms and some players as I strongly suspect the chances of it being updated regularly improves if players are actually asked to help with it.

Maybe you could use a Google Drive spreadsheet that all the DMs can modify.
Though a dedicated player or DM can probably program something a little more elegant. This kind of calendar usually comes for free with websites for guilds for WoW or EQ2 so maybe the code is already floating around the web somewhere.

Because I am just a guy who enjoys being on time, what can the community do to make this calendar a reality as it would be beyond useful.
