::[ City Sending by [REDACTED] : I come bringing the prophecy of  doom. You have a simple choice. Serve my dark Lord, the all consuming  serpent and live, or resist him and die. No length we will not go to to  fulfill this prophecy. ]::

I would just like to point out that I don't believe that sendings like the one above would be able to be made.  Either by messengers or in person, the Clerk NPCs know what the message is before it gets made in the machine.  So anything broadcasting something that is criminal would likely not get put through.  Of course, the illegal sendings, like the ones made by Mad Marge aren't screened by Clerks so they can say whatever.

If I am incorrect with my statement or if I'm a baddie for making this post, I'd like a DM to correct me.  But I've been seeing a lot of Sendings similar the example above so I figured this is something worth making a post about.

Happy gaming!

You are quite correct in this. You simply need to learn to restrict yourself and consider IC, what would the NPC allow to go through. If you really, really want to try and pull these kind things, you need have DM overseeing, and prepare to be quickly swarmed by Watchers and possible homicidal mob.

You also need to limit yourself with the beggars likewise. Some common sense is definitely needed when making the sendings. However if newer player makes these, nobody can be sure of how much experience one has, just politely let them know with a tell, or just tell a DM about it.

New players (who probably won't read this thread) often make this mistake, we can look into making it more obvious to not send "controversial" sendings like that directly from the House of Governance or with Messenger Girls.

Was me.  Apologies.  Seemed at the time like a somewhat regular religious sending sans the word dark. Was a fun experience playing the role of this sort of villain, a humanity and laughter and friendship hating Dendar "worshiper" fanatic who claimed he was tricked and kidnapped by the portal. Id get a dm in the future for similar sendings. Was itching to progress the character. Think things progressed in a very fair and entertaining way. Can definitely see how the sending had multiple, from a ooc perspective, threats or  illegal or controversial aspects after a second look.

No worries, the repercussions and how it played out were definitely entertaining.  It was not at all just you and I am sorry if you felt singled out.  There were many similar Sendings which were made out of simply not knowing what the standard of an acceptable message was.

If anything, it was you who got the short end of the stick as your character essentially died immediately after the sending was made.  The character could have made more of an impact and been a greater villain if he had more time.

No worries, his design and stats indicated that he was and behaved like an open Dendar fanatic. Didn't expect any IC mercy from full death for the char. I wondered if he would be able to convince them not to kill him and deal with him. Was a cool event, I'm not upset at all, though it would have hypothetically been interesting to see him continue his crusade. It was fun sticking to his stats and character. He basically openly declared that he was at war with heretical sanctuary and would accept only surrender or subservience, once a crowd gathered. He declared that he would only be escorted to the surface or die fighting them after losing. He did try to confuse a bit with the sending to protect himself, but alas.

I want to roll up a similar character, it was a lot of fun. I wish I had more time I'd post a recruitment thread for another wave of a similar Dendar cult and traits.

Sorry though for the rule breach, will not happen again.
