Rope and Grapple= Sturdy Rope

Apparently, at some point after lowering my rope and grapple for others to climb down a cliff, it transitioned into a sturdy rope in my inventory when I collected it again. I have no idea how it happened...this is the first time it's occurred. I was told lag may be responsible.

Or a certain svirfneblin may have given you the wrong rope back by mistake.
