Morick Renarus

Short lived but no less fun. Morick Renarus was my attempt at doing utterly ridiculous things no one his level (6) should ever be doing.

He was a Neutral Evil Druid of Malar. I tried to portray a fairly civil, reasonable man in conversation, who was even prone to being generous to others at times who aided him, though he was still evil. He had no empathy or caring for other people. Mercy was a concept foreign to him and he had no desire to partake in anything that did not directly assist him in his "Hunt." Ironically in the end he did not die to the beholders, but to something else. Not the way I expected to go, but it was a good end and kudos to those involved.

Let me just say.. the Lowerdark? It's awesome. Really awesome. If you've not been down there, go down there (with a party and plenty of invis and retreat potions). There's so much cool stuff.

Kudos to Howland and the other DM's who would occasionally throw scary aberrants at me in the Lowerdark, those fights were fun. :D

Now, screenshots! Yes, I took screenshots, for once.

A bit of loot, gained after fighting an Ysinode Demolisher and some War Horrors. Those things are scary, by the way. Sadly I did not have FRAPS open during the fight itself. :(


Morick at the gates of Traensyr, attacking its guards. It required liberal use of summons and what few supplies I had, but they were easily the most exciting fights ever. I eventually got as far in as the Upper Quarter.
