Asked her to cast Magic Weapon, cost me 40GP. Tried it twice, didn't work.

You have to be equipped with a melee weapon. (if you were, then yes, this is a bug)

Just tried with another character, can confirm.

Text dialogue happens "Casting magic weapon" then no noise or "MW" emote..
