Merbolt the Scrapper (House of Trade)

I tried to get a screenshot of what happened but it didn't take.

When I talked to Merbolt to take a look at his collection, one of the items I persuaded him to show me was a "Miners Pick". Except I didn't see it in his inventory of wares available. Then I noticed the item in question was actually laying on the ground in front of him for some reason. My inventory wasn't full and I hadn't attempted to purchase the item, never seen this bug before.

If it's relevant this occurred at about the same time someone was trying to do the herb collecting quest across the way and was firing off script errors caused by whatever the bug was/is with the herb collection quest.
