A letter finds it's way to Aubrey Domergue.

Domergue,

As you are aware, Karstclef and Stonefield have overstepped their bounds.

Argent also seems completely incapable or unwilling of pulling them back into line, much to his deteriment.

As I spoke with La Capitana upon the subject, it struck me: This is something of a lonely fight at the moment.

What would it take for you and yours to bark and bellow and snarl with me?

Rosseau,

I am simultaneously struck by the humility required to send this letter and injured by the insinuation of its content.

You ask me to beat a drum I have been banging at, unheeded and unsupported, for months. I have been the most vocal detractor of the Gold League. I led a march to the Pyramid to end their enslavement of our People. I bellowed until I was hoarse to see veterans recognized for their efforts. I supported you for Warmaster when nobody else would. I fought for the Banda to be given recompense for the murder of its men. I warned the Cinquefoil Rose of Argent's deceptions and begged you not to give him leeway.

And every time, I was heartbroken to find that the other petals of the Rose clasped my hand in companionship mere moments before they plunged the dagger of betrayal into my back.

I realized something, in Argent's office. Your issues with him? Your frustrations? Your disdain as you watch him maneuver to your detriment? Argent is your Rosseau. An ironic twist, I think, by the storyteller which is Fate.

So I ask you: What more do you want from me in this battle and what are you willing to give me for it?

This response is considered at length, before being tossed in with the evening's kindling in a fireplace somewhere in the bowels of the Krak des Roses.
