Chief Scribe Ashbury,

I hope this letter finds you well. I have a few legal questions, hypotheticals, and I was hoping you could help answer.

Firstly, if I wish my Prelate to preside over a trial, is this a power that they might wield? It bothers me that Prelates effectively do nothing and waste public time and money. Furthermore, can one serve as both Prelate and Magistrate?

Secondly, can a sitting Legate contest an election for the other seat?

Yours,
Domhnall

Legate.

If you wish Prelates to be able to oversee trials, simply speak with Legate Saenus and convince him to agree to grant them that authority. The position of Magistrate is a similar invention of the Legates and could be dissolved at your leisure for something else.

Sitting Legates obviously cannot contest the election for the other seat.
