I've a question I have been bandying about my thoughts for some time, a sort of thought experiment or last case contingency. I thought I'd ask: If the Legate resigns, leaving their post intentionally, does their designated Prelate assume power or does the League appoint a new individual entirely?

Do I continue to enjoy the League's confidence? Any advice for this present situation? I feel I have only earned for myself and our precious League the hatred of all comers. I did not imagine, I admit, that it would be this hard. Our newest presumptive candidate runs against me rather than Marcellus.
