Dear Alejandro,

I recieved your letters in my travels but was unable to reply. Much has happened. My great condolences for the loss of Zaniah, I know that she was among your friends. I intend to publish an elegy for her in my newsletter, and would like to inquire if you would be interested in writing such a thing. The city mourns.

On lighter news, I wish to speak to you in the next few days. I have a few questions about authorship and book publishing.
