A letter to the Legates [DMs + Sol Auk]

Two similar letters make their way to the Pyramid. Two copies, one for Legate Sol Auk and one for Interim-Legate Al-Rashid

My esteemed Legate,

I woke up to hear rumors most troubling, and to discover actions quite unsettling had occurred while I slept. I lamment that the once-hero, Velan Volandis, emerged from the melancholic stuppor in which he had long laid only to betray a reasonable compromise. I am also saddened to learn that what both yourselves and I presumed came to be true: that S/ra Kythaella, alas, was not the best of the three choices availible in our fateful meeting.

Still, I regret nothing. Somebody had to be the adult in the room, and I'd rather take a step back than risk the city falling into chaos over the sum of my pride and the Lion's. A poor member of the White League or the Balladeers I would be, were I to value myself above the prosperity and well-being of the People.

The White League, however, has been done a great disservice (and endured a great sacrifice) in the name of this peace. Perhaps, in consideration of this, you would be kind enough to meet me in private, just the three of us. Needless to say, I shall make sure to bring Charity as valuable as your patience and understanding.
