[DMs] Letter to Mother Zalhanna of Water Temple

Dear blessed Mother,
I am Sister-Acolyte Zvada of the Sisterhood of the Sibylline Vine. I hope this letter finds you in good health and in the splendour of the Mother, may her waters rise to us again and her tears wash away the heat of the Hateful Sun.

I write to you with special care and weight as I seek your wisdom and blessing to do something that can change the face of the well as we know it. Recently, the entire Well has been plagued by the filth of evil spirits and the sins of the Pra'raji cults, or those who would conspire against the world and the Sultanate.

I know people who have personally suffered and been deceived by such villains - I was among them when A.D., may his name be forgotten and burned, almost caused the pain of eternal torment to my fellow sister of the Sisterhood as she tried to protect him from an evil fate in the name of Kulamet. And all he did was to throw that away and make a pact with the Djinni.

It pains me that this is so, for I know that such things happen among the people of the Well - those who suffer from heresies and those foul men and women who have bound themselves to the hateful sun and the foul spirits... and so I wish to act.

I wish to create an organisation or group, bound here in the Well, faithful and strong in the Wheel, and supported by Legates, Jannisaries, Astronomers and members of the Rose - in which I also wish to seek the endrosement of the Mother's Temple. I believe that such a group, caring for the Well, not individuals or just one organisation, would be a beacon of hope and struggle for purity that we could achieve if we worked together. I am aware that the Jannisaries and the Sultan, in his eternal wisdom, also seek such ends.

I know that this idea involves several problems that need to be solved, but that is one of the reasons why I am writing to you, Mother. I believe that, despite the risk involved, if done properly, this could be a turning point in the image of the Well and its people - that it could strive to be a bastion of the Wheel as a whole, cleansing it of its sins. We could protect the weak from the harm that might be done to them by force beyond their own, we could confront Qa'im before they move against us - for I suspect they will launch an attack against the Well when the time is right - their spies probably already among us.

I believe in the balance of good contact between my people - the Accord and the glorious Sultan and his men as well as the Astronomers - this is what can spark cooperation - for the enemies mentioned in the text are enemies of all life and the Sultanate and the Wheel.

Please, Mother, I would like to seek your and B'aara's wisdom in this matter and your support if you think it worthy of our patron and the Wheel. I wish to do nothing but good for the people and the weak. My years are many and I know that wisdom comes from knowing that there are those who are wiser than we are and learning from them, and that is what I wish to do. Please share your wisdom with me.
