Dear Alejandro,

I believed you to be a kindred spirit as a fellow appreciator of art and poetry.

However had I been asked before yesterday if you would cheerfully join in on a 5 person attack against an unarmed woman raising no hand against you or yours, I would have honestly said no.

Granted, before yesterday I had never seen such a wrathful look upon your face.

It had been some time since I had reason to examine your future but with yesterday's revelations regarding your character, I decided to remedy that.

You traipse down a dark road now. Your cruel actions against my person pale so thoroughly compared to what you will do and what you are capable of.

I doubt I can appeal to what passes for a soul in someone who so willfully embraces their darker urges so I will appeal to your vanity instead.

The quality of your poetry has been declining for weeks. It may be unscientific to say so, but I think it entirely possible that the degradation is caused by the corruption of your spirit.

The soul of a poet cannot exist within a blackened husk.
