If you believe for even a moment that my growing distaste and distrust for you is so vulgar as to be over who you voted for or even over this election at all, then you are even more blind to reality than I thought.

Flatly, it is about your conduct. Both in regards to me, but also toward others. About who you extend compassion and understanding, and to who you do not. On when you think it professional to tell the truth, and when you think it is okay to bend it. On just how much you hate and cannot tolerate seeing any reflection of your own behavior in a mirror. On your willingness to gamble, not with your own life or esteem, but with mine and your friends. On your obsession with prying into our secrets, but lack of candor.

Once bitten, twice shy. How many bites are we on, now, I wonder?

Work diligently not to make me a victim of another of your temper tantrums again, lest I cease holding my tongue on these opinions of mine, both in front of your friends and peers, and instead choose to raise my voice and take to both public confrontation and private hostility as you have done to me.

I do not think you would enjoy that, as I most certainly have not.

Consider leading with an apology, instead of demanding an explanation. I would think that a thoughtful gesture.
