The Histories
Interviews!
- Seriyah

After the publication of the The One Hundred and One Salhinid Tales, I have decided to embark upon the laborious endeavor of chronicling the events of this Age of Ashes - The Histories.

One of my tutors was quite insistent that it is from history that in a great measure can be gleaned every advantage that improves a person, and the learning of which qualifies a person to fill the stations of their life with honor and wisdom. To understand history is to trace effects to their causes, to weigh motives and opinions, and to avoid the similitude of errors in ourselves, or to profit from the wisdom of the examples of others. In this vein we do honor to Izdu the Magi, as we scribe chronicles for the present to contain the lessons of the future, and we protect the world that knowledge and events are not lost from memories.

Below is an early draft with a few sample pages:

Please note that I am aware of the slight misalignment and I intend to fix it (eventually)!

In the weeks and months to come, it is my hope and intent to interview those who had lived through those days, and who may be able to provide their account of what transpired. As can be gleaned from the samples, I am about to embark upon the dramatic events of the 7787th Imperial Year. I intend to divide The Histories into chapters, each covering a particular epochs: largely speaking, Chapter One will cover the time from Iyar to towards the first Congress of Kardesler in early Illul and the Battle of Red Hill.

As with The One Hundred and One Salhinid Tales, I shall also be accepting charity from benefactors who will be listed in the benefactors page - however, please note that The Histories is likely to be a far more painstaking work that would take a fair number of months before it is published.

All samples and early drafts are subject to (perhaps dramatic) revisions!
