Don Nadie

Esteemed sr. le Fleure,

I am Alejandro Benjazar, a local storyteller. I have taken the liberty of enjoying the Balladeer's hospitality for my performances, acting in the Verdant Stage, to no small success. I was driven to start performing there after beholding the Grandmaster's tribute to the fallen... To whom we owe what refuge we now have.

I trust you do not mind if, in gratitude, I take the liberty of sending a copy of my work, the Thousandfold Tale, so that you may have it in your archives. The Tale of the Woman, the Man and the Cup may, I hope, be enjoyable to you and to other Balladeers. The writing, of course, does not make justice to the performance, but I'd be honored if it tempted you to attend.

Eventually, I'd be honored to offer my own talents to your cause. For now, however, I leave you with a little jingle. I am more adept at prose than poetry, but sometimes, a little song can be quite enjoyable:

There's a tale in the Well
that's too sad to behold,
yet its swell to try spell
what no caliph can stall.

When you stand with the Band
in their own Verdant Stage,
all the sand in this land
can't hide cup from the page.

Do not sell to the fell,
hold your hope and be bold
hear the bell, break your shell!
The Tale's yet to be told!

Yours,

Alejandro Benjazar

The letter includes a few bundles of the Thousandfold Tale, specifically marking the Tale of the Woman, the Man and the Cup.
