Day ZERO

I remember hearing about the Wiz'warrens when I was little.  Scary folk who plucked strings and made "THINGS" happen. I know now, it was magic but.. Still. Crazy.
This new place.... I see these haughty folk, and think; Why can they pull at magic's strings, but not me?

It isn't fair. Not that anything in the world is fair but... Sometimes I feel like it's wasted. Yea. These folk can warp reality into threads of....Whatever they want.... But why do they have the ability? Why not me?

....I'm no fool. I can read and write. Worse still, I can problem solve... Why is it, that mad-gits and weird-shites.... Play games with the threads of magic... While folk like me... Folk who can see the fantasy AND the Need... Just.... Toil.

I can hear the angst in my own writing. Doglas would roll his eyes so hard. I just wish things made more sense to me.

I feel like I am missing something important...
