Broken Presentation Gold Reward

I cannot be the only one who feels this one is off the charts, compared to the other 2-4 quests where, with some luck, you might scavenge something decent. I feel like the gold reward could take a cut without any value being lost. Like, a 100 gp cut, each. This is the only quest I know that pays you a huge sum for no risk, effort or time spent.

I feel like this quest is there with a reward as such to be a leg up to new players/pcs so that they have some spending money, level 5 comes fast and 200 gold isn't really a lot to work with.

This quest, in its current state, is a result of tuning from the ultra-hard first version of the quest, which is virtually a nightmare for those within the level range. Given that those crucial information formerly only accessible in the quest were moved out of the quest area, the quest could use some tune-ups for difficulty.

Though it is nice to amass an easy 1000 gold off this quest over the course of a few days, I must agree this quest needs something. My PC has only once fought a single weak illusion there. Usually in about 60 seconds one can earn 200 coin doing what seems to be a pointless job with little/no risk, little/no lore and a abnormally sweet reward. Its only redeeming quality is that it makes one explore the House of Knowledge (nice area and I like the elevator).  I am unsure what the trigger is to get the illusions to spawn, but a fix may be as simple as moving the malfunctioning panel across the room as I've never had to take more then five steps into the main QA room to complete the quest.

There is essentially no risk or investment, as the enemies are weak enough to be defeated by the weakest combattant and there's even a free healing placeable in the room.


It nevertheless being one of the most rewarding quests on the lower level scale seems rather odd.

On that point, I have indeed lowered the reward as it was bit high for what it was, and it's still a good one even after the change.
