Spice up the Commons Loot Battle with random monsters or spell effects sometimes

An idea I thought might be interesting by adding more variety and uncertainty.  Perhaps in addition to spawning the Loot Ball, when it drops, it also sometimes spawns monsters or randomly players nearby with a variety of random spells?

I have seen dm's do this already when they are on, and while I think it could be fun, it only made me lag more when trying to fight there. So it may cause that sort of issue with other people as well.
