Revise monster spawning locations at the Southern Shore.

I recently took a raft trip with some others to the Southern Shores on the way towards the elven ruins quest. When we arrived I was the first to load off the raft and that's when 2 (maybe 3, it was a little hard to tell due to my camera angle at the time) orc rangers a couple of turns down the sandy path instantly began shooting arrows at me and turning me into a pincushion. I was already down and bleeding by the time anybody else from my party on the raft loaded and I was in the fugue before anybody knew what was going on.

So, I'd like to suggest that the location of and type (i.e. those with long range attacks) be looked over in the area and revised so that something so unlucky doesn't happen to anybody else (or me again).

It's not bad luck its an oversight in the spawning system, no spawn should ever naturally spawn so that as soon as you transition they kill you/see you. They however can be drawn about by other PCs and then left in the new spots that tend to be on transitions and such.

Bad luck, yes, but this is one of the situations where the rather unfair situation can be avoided.

When you die, one of the things you can read in the fugue is something along the lines of "If you died during a transition from AI monsters, please notify a DM so that the monsters can be moved away from the transition".

I'd say this qualifies.

I've had worse happen.

I lost all my equipment to similar situations.

They happen, not much you can do about it, really.

Except, of course, for the DMs to take my suggestion into consideration...

Spawn point adjusted, I'm not quite sure why Thomas felt it necessary to post in this thread.
