Like all good corsairs, I went down with the ship. Sure, I didnt have a ship, or even do very much pirating, but BOY HOWDY did I have a boat hook! When RPG told me about his concept of a bunch of Slavers from an area of Aber-Toril that has been almost 100% been written out of the lore I knew I had to get in. But I need to do something flashier. And nothing says flashy like THEMED WEAPONS. So I rolled up Jacho Mut-Kabid, boat hook bounty hunter. Both the perk and weapon was a lot of fun, as were the first few weeks of the group some of the best I've had on EfU. Between sprinting away from Cave prowlers and having grueling battles with kobolds over a few pieces of quartz, I suggest everyone experience the Lair life at least once.

Anyways, special thanks to all of Team Gypsy, Our DM Team, with Howlando and Vlaid in particular for putting up with my antics and constant badgering, and of course our willing and not so willing characters in our strange Slaver Brady Bunch.

Heres a quick background of Jacho Mut-Kabid

[hide=Jacho Mut-Kabid] Jacho was born as Regahib, a dock urchin on the Fingers, near the Islands of the Wizards Reach. The Great Sea became the only home he knew, finding himself as little more then a slave upon a Dhow, a trading ship of dubious intent. Little more then corsairs, they preyed upon whatever they could fine, stopping in whatever port would take them. And at every port, fresh blood was brought upon the ship as crewmen and slaves to replace those swallowed up by the cost of piracy. It was here Regahib met Jacho Mut-Kabid, a boy sold into slavery by his family for being a worthless bastard. Finding freidnship in each other, they both sailed the seas, working their ways from cabin boys, to oarsmen, to finally bahriyin (Sailors). As corsairs they traded stories of home, his friend Jacho telling him of how badly he wished to return home, to prove to his family he was no longer the worthless boy they sold. Yet it was not to be, as Jacho died. Grief-stricken, Regahib traveled to find the Mut-Kabids to tell them of the man their cast off had become. But as he traveled he became more and more desperate, finally finding the clan when he had nearly given up all hope. Now without options, his survival instincts kicked in, and claimed he was Jacho, giving up his old life. Proving himself as a useful asset as a warrior and hunter of men, he was accepted by his "Baba". Now, in the memory of his friend he steeled himself to doing all he can to honor Jacho by being the greatest asset to the family he could be...[/hide]

Screenies!

Family Photo of Elmo's arena Event... first sign that Dari is Crazy as he wanted to take the Explosive Netherese Thing and hold the city ransom with it...

Meeting a Potential Friend, sadly, he did not want to join our clan

I crashed while returning home and was killed by a SINGULAR volt, thanks to the mercy of our DM team, I was given a chance for a rematch... a 7th level fighter can kill a volt, who knew right?

Being the Greedy and Arrogant Scum we were, we jumped at the chance to roll some devil dice... with predictable results. Being the bravest of the clan (duh) I went first... and managed not a single bad roll. Super Wealthy, with Devil Enhancements, the rest of the Family wasnt so lucky, and managed to lose my soul after all in the end, in a last gamble to rescue back Dari's soul... but at least we all looked COOL AS HELL

Slaver Start! After finally getting us all online, we managed to find Caraz the Blue, Adventuring CHAMPION and bring him low by dog piling on him... after half the group went through a transition and was waiting for us on the other side... notice my attempts at keeping him in.

This led to his friends, enemies, or whatever they were... the Dragon Cultists, to show up. And some terse words were exchanged over the trading of the poor fellow. Enter a mysterious stranger who opens our door to only say one word...

'Prepare"

And WE SURE DID! Using the power of BOAT HOOK, disarming the sergeant, and tanglefooting the fleeing Seren it was a stunning victory, that led to a very enjoyable slave auction... though apparently not many people cared. But who is this fine fellow? Get outta here flea bag!

His boss did not take very kindly to that

Still, we are successful slavers... and OFF WE WENT! Capturing another body for the bidding block... but we got a great offer to bring them to the Gate, and so we did

This led to predictable results when things went pear shape fast, and so Jacho found himself alone, failing his friend, his false family, and his God, rotting in a cell, all alone...

And finally, with his Baba's blood still wet upon the executioners blade he died, on his knees, in a cage, with nobody to see but his foes or mourn him when he was gone

...he still met a bloody end though, bleeding out on the floor as his captors watched with distaste and contempt... a Slaver and Corsrairs End!

Now, I know you bastards have been just scrolling through this to get to the loot, so here it is!

[hide= LOOT]

HA HA HA HO HO HO! I HAVE NO LOOT! I fought from nearly creation to death in the same chain shirt that was randomly generated on a small little DM Quest. AND I LOOKED DAMN GOOD DOING IT!

...also a Boat hook is just a sickle that I kept yelling was a boat hook, because cutlasses are over done [/hide]

Finally had the chance to do a group concept with you that didn't fall apart within the first few days. It was worth the wait.
You're the reason I first came to this server and role-playing with your characters (when you have enough free time to get IG) always makes my day. Your characters always feel like real people, never larger-than-life, but always the most remarkable sort of "normal" people that the server doesn't really get to see in the swarms of zealots, grand adventurers, crazies, and freaks.

You always pick the most interesting and unused weapons and play such believable down-to-earth characters. You've never fallen into the seductive trap of treating EfU like a game to be won, but instead always played like EfU was a story you're a character in, and for that you're one of the players I respect the most.

It was a blast getting to play with you again, and getting to meet Jacho. I'm glad we got the chance to cause trouble together, and I can't wait to see what salty, sarcastic everyman you roll out with next.

<elmo>: i have to say for me your glory days have been on EFUR RagingPurpleGiant1

Props for anyone who goes A1 since Day 1 with starter loot.

Some of the coolest things to see is people go "HA HA YOU ORANGECLOAK" and it's really some badass criminal.
