Not really much of a store for would be chefs, like there was in EFU:M, no equivalent to grain, 'meat', 'nuts and berries' and such around.

Going to bump this as I have encountered bothersome trials in gathering ingredients that are considered 'common' (bluecap spores to make bread dough for example) and other bases necessary in advancing culinary research.

While it is reasonable to say, "Get others players to get it," I have encountered numerous trials in getting others to do so for me. The frank truth is, very few people want to do anything for a system that many perceive as purely flavor and not very profitable (as opposed to alchemy with its numerous, and very useful commodities). As well, going out into the Underdark to harvest plants seems to be an extremely boring, tedious task, and doesn't interest me much.

I have tried experimenting with what is available in stores, and the results have been disappointing.

In EFU:M, there at least was a store that sold sausage, grain, flour, and other basic foodstuffs that could be developed into other more complex ingredients or completed products. Adding something similar is something I would desire for this setting.

I've not tried it myself but try checking that pack of cooking ingredients that is sold at the house of trade.

fixed... or I might try to fix it.

I, for myself, find the herb gardening and gathering much interesting. My current PC might not be the most prepared for such a task, considering that she is no ranger or druid, but I think that I can define her concept a bit towards this kind of task as she is still under development of the activities she might get engaged (and that I have not defined my EFUSS Skills yet).

The main issue will probably be the high risk of killing herbs by accident because that even with enhanced farming you don't have too much precision of what you are doing when you harvest them.

I wish we had ways of enhancing the herb harvesting power through spells like identify, skills like lore and search or feats like GSF Divination and Alertness, so to sponsor the players interested into giving support to activities like the one Candyman2 is trying to engage into.

fireflies, EFUSS Farming with enough points can give you a hint as to whether the plant is 'safe' to pick from without destroying it.

well... second PC I have it maxed and it will not tell.
