I found that I would hardly ever use the other perks because losing the ability to heal once is life or death as all you really can do is run as an RSD against overwhelming odds. A separate timer would truly support the flexibility the other perks would allow for.

Unless EFU did undocumented tweaking and recent changes that I am unaware of, Charnelist is in fact correct.

It does not remove paralysis (incl. hold person), fear or dominate effects. It does however protect from these effects for the duration.

Fear requires Remove Fear

Paralysis requires Remove Paralysis or Restoration

I'll  note that I am somewhat skeptical about clarity not removing  some of the dominate effects in EFU at this point. Dominate is, far as I'm aware and contrary to the wiki, removable by Clarity.

But we're derailing. This is an interesting thread and we can let the implementors argue about the  balance of our suggestions.

Somewhat more balanced and universally useful:

A tweaked version of the Ascetic's expunge, that can potentially break paralysis and such spell effects as well if the RSD can be so lucky.

Could think of a player tool that allows the user to toggle a 1/day variety of dispel magic on himself.

I think a lil buff to lvl 8 RSD perk would help. Once you get that level, its hard to survive higher lvl quests. Maybe at the least have them have access to 6 brews instead of 5 and maybe have some brews be improved at 8.

Maybe RSDs could add 1/2 their lvl to herbalism checks to represent their skill in crafting "brews" and such. It would add to their utility.

Agreed, a bump at lvl 8 I can see.. Also like the suggestions of separating the timer as it would make it more useful.. every 10 mins to use a perk is very long at higher lvls.

Think the most crippling thing is that they cannot restore themselves from ability dmg only through resting. It cripples them if they are ever hit with poison, curse, etc. RSD is very fun , just could use some more versatility at lvl 8.

having a seperate timer for the healing perk vs the purge/sharpening/dispel would be very useful and help the RSDs survive and be more versatile.
