Well. While some people know I've had a few obsessions with EFU over the years I am thrilled and amazed to say I've finally knocked something off my EFU bucket list: I got to be a pirate with his own boat Big ups to the DMs for the wild ride, Tala for the great start to my PC, and VP for the hijinks.

An official Lieutenant of the Paladin Order of Mystra, the Knights of Mystic Fire, Edwinatl Hubert served from his youth as a scribe. Shirking command he was a life-long sergeant and field combatant before being reluctantly assigned to "The Cauldron", a decrepit and abandoned fortress long ruined in the mountains of Tehtyr. As he and his men refurbished it they held the border to the Upperdark and all the threats below.

With the Death of Mystra and the Rise of Mystryl he and his men fell upon greivous crisis. FIrst their wards failing as the seige from the Underdark began. Then learning of the still-births, the betrayal and conversion as the faithful switch their worship to Mystryl, and all that was stable in the world unravelling.

He had devoted his life to her and romanticized her as the woman of his dreams and her death hit him - fiercely hard. He and his ragged band of remnants embarked on a journey to the Underdark carving a bloody swath and facing many casualties.

Having survived and reaching the Dark Lake they took up career as Mercenary for hire to all the filthy and wretched in the world. The Duergar, the Drow, the Monstrous they once were sworn to thwart.

They went from being the best mankind had to offer to the worst- Witch Hunters and Slavers.

The intention had been to create an evil and cut-throat mercenary company of slavers and witch hunters, declaring open war on mystryl and enacting atrocities across the Dark Lake known as "The Cracked Cauldron".

A few more great fights in permadeath event but went out in a blaze of glory.

From Paladin to Slaver to Pirate.

A grand journey, a wild ride, and as much as I bitch about it - Levels don't always matter on EFU.

One day I'll reach level 7, or maybe even 9

Didn't quite reach my goal of BLACKGUARD but was making a big splash and a good start.

Keep it weird, EFU.

Don't be afraid to shoot for stupid crazy goals when you're coming up with your PCs.

And don't be afraid to go on batshit crazy permadeath events.

May just get another tick off your EFU bucketlist.
